Amy Setchell, BS, RRT, holds a bachelor's degree in healthcare leadership and serves as a program instructor in the Respiratory Therapy program at Madison College, where she also supports the School of Health Sciences as a Department Chair. Prior to becoming Department Chair, Amy was the program director and worked alongside her students at the William S. Middleton Veterans Hospital. Since 2011, she has been dedicated to offering simulation-based learning experiences, equipping students with the skills needed for critical care scenarios before clinical placements. Amy has been instrumental in enhancing student education within simulation settings. In 2021, she partnered with Chippewa Valley Technical College faculty through a grant to deliver an external clinical simulation experience for both CVTC and MC respiratory therapy students. In 2022, she collaborated with Melissa to design interprofessional education (IPE) simulations for nursing and respiratory therapy students.
