Associate Executive Director Society for Simulation in Healthcare Wellington, Colorado, United States
Abstract : Simulation programs have an ongoing challenge to design and deliver high-quality simulation activities. Integral to achieving this bar is the integration of healthcare simulation standards that are known. This presentation will share key insights and concepts about how SSH Accreditation and Certifications have set and help your program to meet these high standards. SSH Accreditation has accredited more organizations than all others combined (over 265 simulation programs), and over 5,000 individuals have recognized the value of becoming certified as a CHSE® and/or CHSOS®. The presentation will share the approach taken by SSH Accreditation and Certification that is inclusive of various standards as published in healthcare simulation, making these recognitions the overarching and highest levels of recognition that can be achieved. Attendees will learn how to access key information, identify core concepts and processes to become credentialed, and support your development of a plan to become certified and to achieve accreditation for your simulation program. This is a can't miss session for anyone seeking to grow their career and organization in healthcare simulation.
Please include a short summary of your presentation that highlights why an attendee would want to participate in your session.: As simulation programs seek to design and deliver high-quality simulation activities, the need to meet published simulation standards has never been greater. Attend this session to find out how SSH Accreditations and Certifications integrate practices from around the globe, setting a standard of excellence and supporting programs and individuals in meeting those standards.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to summarize the standard setting processes of SSH Accreditation and SSH Certifications
Upon completion, participants will be able to describe how achieving these recognitions will support high-quality simulation for individuals and programs
Upon completion, participants will be able to identify how to find the resources that are available to pursue achieving these recognitions
