Dr. Rachel Helms, DNP, APRN, AGACNP-BC, FNP-BC, ENP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in emergency care, with over 15 years of clinical experience, including five years in emergency and flight nursing and a decade in advanced practice. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Auburn University’s College of Nursing, where she teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and also serves as clinical faculty for ThriveAP. Actively practicing emergency medicine at multiple facilities in the metro-Atlanta area, she is a dedicated mentor and preceptor for nurse practitioner and physician assistant students. Dr. Helms is an accomplished speaker and researcher, with national presentations and publications on emergency care, interprofessional education, and clinical decision-making. She has secured grant funding for disaster preparedness and healthcare education initiatives and remains committed to shaping the future of emergency advanced practice nursing.
