Katie Morales, PhD, RN, CNE is a Professor of Nursing and Dean of Graduate Programs at the University of West Georgia. With a PhD in Nursing (Education Cognate) from Mercer University, Dr. Morales is a dedicated educator and researcher specializing in nursing education, evidence-based practice, and student success strategies. She has an extensive background in clinical practice, including critical care and medical-surgical nursing, and is a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE). Dr. Morales is an active scholar with numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international conferences. Her research interests include dementia care education, active learning strategies, and healthcare infection prevention. She has contributed to various editorial boards and serves as a manuscript reviewer for multiple nursing journals. A committed mentor, Dr. Morales has guided student research and dissertation committees, supporting the next generation of nursing professionals. She is also actively involved in professional organizations, including the National League for Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau International.
