Rebecca M. Gee is an accomplished nursing educator and simulation coordinator with over two decades of experience in nursing education and clinical practice. She currently serves as an Associate Professor and Simulation Coordinator at Middle Georgia State University, where she has been instrumental in advancing the simulation program since 2019.
Dr. Gee earned her PhD in Nursing from Augusta University in 2019, following her MS in Nursing (Adult Health) from Georgia College and State University in 2005, and her BS in Nursing from Georgia College in 1990. Her academic career includes significant roles such as Assistant Professor and Simulation Program Director at Augusta University, and Senior Lecturer and Assistant Professor at Georgia Southwestern State University.
Her professional journey is marked by her dedication to clinical simulation, evidenced by her active involvement in the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. Dr. Gee has contributed to numerous conferences and webinars, focusing on innovative simulation techniques and their impact on nursing education.
Dr. Gee's research interests include the efficacy of simulation-based learning and its role in enhancing clinical reasoning among nursing students. She has published and presented extensively on these topics, including her doctoral dissertation on high fidelity simulation's impact on clinical reasoning.
Her commitment to nursing education is further demonstrated through her community service and professional memberships, including leadership roles in the Georgia Simulation Alliance. Dr. Gee's work continues to shape the future of nursing education, making her a respected figure in the field of clinical simulation.
