Edward Kish graduated from California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB) in 2015 and is currently an Assistant Professor of Nursing at CSUB in the psychiatric nursing department. Edward has nine years of experience in psychiatric nursing and has worked at psychiatric crisis stabilization units across the State of California. Edward is also working part-time in addiction medicine at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles County. This pilot is Edward's first experience in writing and piloting a simulation. Edward integrated this pilot simualtion into his psychiatric nursing program at CSUB for the first time this Spring 2025. Edward also piloted a new psychiatric simulation at CSUB this spring involving the evaluation of a client sufferring from major depressive disorder. Edward looks forward to utilizing his psychiatric nursing experience in writing further psychiatric simulations in the future.
