LisaMarie Wands graduated with her Bachelor of Nursing in 2001 from the University of North Florida, Master of Science with a focus on nursing education from Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in 2008, and her Doctor of Philosophy with a focus on caring science from FAU in 2011. She is currently a Clinical Track Associate Professor at the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She has completed the INACSL Research Fellowship and the National League for Nursing's Leadership Institute for Simulation Educators. She is a Certified Nurse Educator as recognized by the NLN and holds Advanced Certification as a Healthcare Simulation Educator as recognized by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). Dr. Wands has presented and published on her simulation work at regional, state, national, and international levels.
