Joshua Norman, DNP, APRN-CNP, FNP-C, is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Dr. Norman earned his BSN and became a Registered Nurse in 2013, gaining extensive clinical experience in pediatrics, emergency care, outpatient surgery, and substance abuse treatment. He furthered his education by obtaining his MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018, working in corrections, urgent care, and adult gastroenterology settings.
In 2024, Dr. Norman completed his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, specializing in nursing education. Currently, he teaches full-time in both undergraduate and graduate nursing programs, emphasizing active learning and innovative instructional methods tailored to adult learners. Beyond academia, he contributes to the healthcare team for The Pride of Oklahoma, OU's esteemed marching band.
Dr. Norman is dedicated to advocacy for patients, students, and the nursing profession, passionately advancing nursing education and promoting excellence in clinical practice.
