Dr. Samantha Smeltzer serves as the Vice President of Simulation at Orbis Education. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh and obtained her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Robert Morris University, followed by a Doctorate from Capella University. With over 15 years of dedicated experience in simulated nursing education, Dr. Smeltzer has been involved extensively in all facets of simulation and nursing education across various prelicensure degree tracks.
Her commitment to advancing the field is evident through her ongoing research contributions at both regional and national levels, where she shares her specialized knowledge with numerous colleagues. Dr. Smeltzer holds a certification as a Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) and is an active member of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) and the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL). She continues to engage with current practices by providing care to veterans in the progressive care and medical-surgical units.
Dr. Smeltzer is enthusiastic about utilizing this platform to impart her knowledge and fervor for simulated learning. Outside of her professional endeavors, she is a keen traveler who enjoys exploring new destinations with her family.
