Nicole Edwards graduated from Kennesaw State University with a BSN in 2008. Starting in 2009, she has been a nurse at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta working in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) since 2011. She has been a Clinical Educator and Simulationist for the PICU since 2019 and recently became the Resuscitation Program Manager. Nicole is passionate about resuscitation outcomes and has implemented process improvements such as the CPR Coach role and ergonomic team mapping. Working with multidisciplinary teams, Nicole has been an author on several published peer-reviewed journals. As an expert in team dynamics and resuscitation quality, she strives to improve patient outcomes and teamwork across the hospital system.
Jennifer McGough graduated from Tidewater Community College with her AAS in Respiratory Therapy in 1999, and completed her BSBA in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University in 2021. She has worked as a bedside therapist in thePediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) since 2000, including 7 years on neonatal/pediatric intensive care transport. Jennifer started serving as a simulation resource in 2017 and joined as a simulation educator in 2019. Jennifer has been integral in standardizing airway management and intubation strategies throughout the PICU in collaboration with the National Emergency Airway Registry and simulation team. Most recently, Jennifer was instrumental in bringing the CPR coach role to the PICU resuscitation team, alongside her simulation partner. Jennifer is a passionate expert in simulation, education, and resuscitation.
