Dr. Geetha Kada is a distinguished nursing educator and faculty lead for The Maryland Clinical Resource Consortium (MCSRC). With a deep commitment to advancing nursing education, she has made significant contributions to simulation-based learning and instructional design.
In 2013, Dr. Kada earned her Ph.D., conducting a groundbreaking simulation-based study that examined the relationship between the self-confidence of associate degree nursing students and their perception of five critical instructional simulation design characteristics. Her research, recognized for its depth and impact, was published in ProQuest and the Journal of Nursing Care. Additionally, she presented her findings at esteemed venues, including a poster presentation at Catholic University in Washington, D.C., and a podium presentation at the Global Nursing and Health Care Conference in São Paulo, Brazil.
Beyond her scholarly work, Dr. Kada has demonstrated exceptional leadership in the field of simulation-based education. She has served as the simulation chair for over six years and has been an active committee member for more than a decade. Her dedication extends to faculty development, having conducted numerous in-service and continuing education sessions focused on best practices in simulation, particularly emphasizing pre-briefing and debriefing strategies.
With her unwavering commitment to excellence, Dr. Kada continues to shape the future of nursing education, inspiring both students and educators through her expertise, research, and leadership in simulation-based learning.
