Diane serves as the inaugural and sole Simulation Instructor for Delaware Technical Community College-Stanton Campus. With over four decades of experience as a Registered Nurse, she has honed her expertise in various specialties, including Medical-Surgical, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation, Home Health, and Hospice. Diane holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from West Virginia University and a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology (MS) from the same institution. Additionally, she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing Education (MS) from Walden University. Diane commenced her full-time teaching career in the Nursing Department at Delaware Technical Community College in 2007. Her interest in simulation education was nurtured when she received the National League for Nursing Health Information Technology Scholarship in 2009. Diane is a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) and a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE). Throughout her career, Diane has consistently demonstrated a commitment to leveraging emerging technologies to enhance the clinical judgment of nursing students.
