Annette Ray is a dedicated and passionate professional in the field of healthcare simulation. Her journey in simulation began in 2006 when she was tasked with creating simulation scenarios for the University of South Dakota (USD).
Currently, Annette serves as the Site Simulation Coordinator for South Dakota State University College of Nursing. In this role, she is actively involved in scheduling all simulation experiences, facilitating faculty development, and collaborating with interprofessional disciplines. She has played a pivotal role in the development, implementation, and accreditation of South Dakota State University's simulation program.
Annette's expertise includes the creation and review of simulations, as well as the implementation of the Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practiceâ„¢. She has been a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) since 2020.
Throughout her career, Annette has presented numerous professional posters on topics such as creating simulations, developing simulation templates, managing a cohesive simulation program across multiple campuses, innovative lab experiences for nursing students, and student competencies in geriatric care.
