Michelle started as a student worker in a simulation lab and quickly grew passionate about the field. Since 2015, the love for simulation and all the opportunities it provides to students has grown immeasurably. She earned her Doctorate in Educational Technology from Central Michigan University in 2021. Her dissertation was presented on the use of escape rooms in education. Michelle has published in the Journal of Interprofessiona Education & Practice, volunteers on the Professional Education & Standards of Practice Workgroup for SimGHOSTS, and has presented at many conferences all over the United States.
Michelle has a passion for learning, which led her to her current position in Simulation Operations Specialist/Adjunct Faculty at Saginaw Valley State University. The specialist position wears many hats, like manikin operations, programming, and research. She strives and is dedicated to deliver an amazing simulation experience for students.
Michelle’s past education background includes a Bachelor of Business from Davenport University, MBA with a Strategic Management Concentration from Davenport University, Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from Davenport University, and a Master of Education Degree with a Curriculum & Instruction Concentration from Central Michigan University. Additionally, she received her CHSOS-A certification in 2024.
