Vivian is a full-time Dedicated Simulation Educator at The George Washington University School of Nursing. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nursing Education at Fort Hays State University, during which she implemented a quality improvement project studying the effects of simulation on confidence and anxiety in undergraduate nursing students. She was the recipient of the Fort Hays State University College of Nursing Outstanding Graduate Student Award.
She started her nursing career on the Progressive Care Unit and went on to serve as Lead Preceptor. In this role, she worked with the professional development team in onboarding, educating, and supporting new graduate nurses, as well as serving as a facilitator throughout the Nurse Residency Program. Vivian is passionate about supporting the next generation of nurses and helping them transform from novice learners into confident, competent, and compassionate professionals, using simulation to provide a space where students feel empowered to ask questions and make mistakes in a safe learning environment.
