Dr. Katie Holt is currently the Simulation Success Specialist at Rasmusen University where she is responsible for developing and training simulation faculty across Rasmussen’s 20 campuses. She supports faculty in the delivery of standardized simulation-based experiences and uses feedback from students and faculty to evaluate the simulation program and national simulation curriculum.
She previously worked as an Associate Professor at Rasmussen University. Prior to moving to nursing education, she worked as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in primary care at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Minnesota.
Dr. Holt earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Primary Care specialty from the University of Minnesota and her Master of Nursing degree from the University of Minnesota. She is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and completed a Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental & Related Disabilities (LEND) fellowship at the University of Minnesota. She is passionate about utilizing simulation best practices to improve clinical judgment and prepare nursing students for real-world healthcare settings.
