Emily Hribek, BSN, RN, CHSE is a dedicated nursing education professional who has been transforming student learning through simulation-based education since 2017. As a Lead Simulation Educator at Saginaw Valley State University, she specializes in preparing senior-level nursing students for the complexities of critical care and leadership roles. Her innovative teaching approaches combine hands-on simulation experiences with evidence-based practices to foster clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
Drawing from her diverse clinical background spanning progressive care, occupational health, and urgent care nursing, Emily brings real-world insights and scenarios into the simulation environment. A proud alumna of Saginaw Valley State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014, she is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Nursing Education, anticipated completion Summer 2025.
Since earning her Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) credentials in 2021, she has been involved in implementing and publishing various simulation methodologies. Her teaching philosophy centers on creating immersive learning experiences that build both competence and confidence in future nurses. Emily is particularly passionate about leveraging simulation methodologies to bridge the gap between classroom theory and clinical practice, preparing the next generation of nurses to deliver exceptional patient care.
