Mindy Fabbro, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC
Dr. Fabbro is an Associate Nursing Professor at Saginaw Valley State University. She brings more than 27 years of experience as a nurse and teaches in both graduate and undergraduate nursing programs. For the last three years, she has worked as a PMHNP in an opioid use disorder clinic. Before that, she worked as a FNP in an interdisciplinary clinic serving patients 55 years old and older with substance use disorder for more than 3 years. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Psychiatric Association, Society of Simulation in Healthcare, and Sigma Theta Chi.
Areas of expertise: Critical care, family practice, substance use disorder, simulation.
Research areas of interest: substance use disorder (SUD), technology to enhance SUD treatment, health promotion, nursing education, and simulation.
