Brian Haughney, BS, EMT-P, NCEE, CHSE has over 30 years of active emergency medicine experience in New York City and the surrounding area. Brian has worked at numerous universities both private and part of the City University of New York in various roles as faculty, manager, and director/founder of multiple programs. He has worked on the design and creation of over 15 simulation centers/spaces for both humans and veterinary. He started focusing on EMS but over the past 20 years has been working with Nursing, Nutrition, PA, NP, SLP, PT, OT, and Physicians. His specialty focus is marrying the design, logistics, and operations of a simulation center/program with the needs of interprofessional learners, along with in-situ simulation fidelity and safety. Brian currently works at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as the Simulation Coordinator where his main focus is in-situ simulations in a comprehensive cancer care center with over 16 locations.
