Dr. Janice Sinoski is a Canadian-trained nurse passionate about critical care nursing and simulation. She is an experienced Professor Emerita of Nursing who has worked in higher education in the U.S.A. for 16 years. Her skill set includes nursing education, critical care nursing, emergency nursing, and simulation, and she has over 40 years of experience as a registered nurse.
She has earned a M.S.N./Ed and a Doctorate in Education focusing on adult and continuing education. Current certifications include CCRN-K, Certified Emergency Nurse, Certified Nurse Educator, and Certified Health Simulation Educator. Dr. Sinoski's research areas include nurse retention, using digital technology in simulation to enhance clinical judgment, and investigating how nurse educators use simulation to measure competence. She is involved in INACSL's Research SIG group and is the developer of Digital Moulage⢠for simulation. Dr. Janice Sinoski is interested in advancing the science of simulation through research.
Dr. Sinoski serves on the Board of Managers of Centra Specialty Hospital and sits on the Advisory Board of the Global Conference on Nursing Education, Research, and Science. She joined the University of Lynchburg's nursing faculty in 2014. She is married and resides in Lynchburg, Virginia, U.S.A.
