Dr. Monique Davis graduated from the University of Delaware in 2000, Marymount University 2007, and Capella University in 2014. Her doctoral dissertation title (in 2014) is “A Quasi-Experimental Study Examining The Impact Of Web-Based Simulation On The Critical Thinking Skills Of Associate Degree Nursing Students.” This research study provided evidence to support the use of web-based/ virtual simulation in nursing education as an innovative teaching approach to improve the critical thinking skills of Associate Degree Nursing students. Dr. Davis currently serves as the Dean of Health Sciences and Director of Nursing at Montgomery College. I also serve as the program director for the Maryland Clinical Simulation Resource Consortium (MCSRC) which is in its tenth year supporting Maryland colleges and universities with simulation education, equipment, and supplies. Dr. Davis is passionate about virtual and on-site simulation and advancing its utilization throughout nursing and health sciences curricula and in the evaluation processes of learners.
