Kristin has been involved in healthcare simulation since 2005 during her tenure as a nursing professor at Front Range Community College in Colorado. Kristin quickly realized the value of simulation in the teaching of nursing students and became an early adopter of simulation in her pediatric nursing classes. Kristin was involved in the development and renovation of two spaces on campus that became nursing simulation labs. She became the Co-Simulation Laboratory Manager in 2014 and remained in that role until retirement from Front Range Community College in May 2023. Kristin obtained her CHSE in 2020 and recertified in 2023. She began a new position in simulation at Children’s Hospital Colorado in May 2023 as a Healthcare Simulation Educator. Additionally, Kristin has been involved in INACSL on the Home-Grown Solutions Committee and an active member of the Colorado Simulation Collaborative Committee. In addition, she is the Vice-Chair for the Pediatrics Section of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. Kristin completed the Center for Medical Simulation (CMS) Healthcare Essentials course and Johns Hopkins University Rapid Cycle Deliberate Practice (RCDP) course in 2023.
