Dr. Kelly Russin is a three-time graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Nursing. Dr. Russin is the current Director of Simulation for the Center for Simulation and Experiential Learning and an Assistant Professor in the USC School of Nursing. She holds a National Certification in Simulation from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (CHSE) and a National Certification in Nursing Obstetrics. She has been a registered nurse on Labor and Delivery at Lexington Medical Center since 2010. Her research focuses on Disaster Simulation and Emergency Preparedness. She also has incorporated simulation into non-clinical courses to assist students with learning nursing theory and using Spanish interpreters in nursing.
