Evan Holtz is a dedicated healthcare simulation professional and educator committed to advancing patient outcomes through innovative training methodologies. As Program Manager at RWJBarnabas Health’s Institute for Nursing Excellence, he designs and implements simulation-based education for new-to-practice nurses and interprofessional teams, fostering seamless integration of clinical skills, critical thinking, and collaborative practice.
Evan holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Arizona State University and an MBA in Healthcare Economics and Management from William Paterson University. His diverse educational background, combined with his clinical experience, has allowed him to play a pivotal role in curriculum development, faculty training, and interprofessional education. He co-developed the "Foundations of Simulation" course, equipping educators across a 14-hospital system with best practices in simulation-based learning. Holding Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) and Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) credentials, Evan actively contributes to the field through committee work with the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) and the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL). Evan is also board certified in Nursing Professional Development. Beyond his institutional role, Evan serves as a board member of the NJ Association of EMS Educators and as a training officer for the NJ EMS Task Force. His commitment to healthcare education continues to shape the future of nursing and simulation-based training
